Work & Travel with Hacker Paradise
Join a Hacker Paradise Program and Travel the World with Other Remote Professionals
Since 2016, I’ve been participating in international work travel programs and meeting amazing communities of travelers all over the world. Hacker Paradise is the longest running program, founded in 2014, and now powered by NOMA. Each Hacker Paradise trip I’ve done has been in a different city for a month at a time. The participants start out as strangers but quickly became family as we see the world together, support each other through the ups and downs of life, and have epic adventures together.

Imagine swimming with dolphins in the Galapagos Islands, paragliding over the Andes in Colombia, racing dune buggies through the Peruvian desert, mountain biking “The World’s Most Dangerous Road” in Bolivia, dancing at street parties in Sao Paulo, watching sunsets in Tuscany, skiing in Patagonia, taking a special date to the Taj Mahal on Valentine’s Day, exploring ancient temples in Cambodia, watching the Formula 1 Grand Prix night race through the streets of Singapore, scuba diving with whale sharks in Thailand..…and having bucket-list experiences like this every single month! I’ve done all of these while on international work-travel programs, and you can check out the upcoming Hacker Paradise destinations here and get a $100 discount on your first trip!
Hacker Paradise brings together a community of remote professionals to travel, live, and work remotely in a different city each month. If you can work remotely, then Hacker Paradise provides your accommodations, workspace access with 24/7 wifi, as well as a Program Leader who travels with your group, and cultural immersion experiences in each city.
While I had already been a full-time nomad for years prior to joining my first Hacker Paradise program, the ability to travel with an amazing community was what made it so unique, special, and life-changing for me. Each time I meet fun, kind, interesting new people, and have an amazing experience!
Hacker Paradise has attracted people from over 50 different countries with the ages range from 20s-60s with the average being about mid-30s. I always learn so much from the incredible people I meet on these trips!

The Maverick Show is a global travel podcast about what really happens when people cross borders. Hosted by Matt Bowles, a full-time world traveler since 2013, each episode features intimate, unfiltered conversations (often over a bottle of wine) with digital nomads, worldschooling families, women and diaspora storytellers, and human rights advocates who share real travel stories that are funny, moving, and deeply human. In addition to hearing about extraordinary places and the people who live there, you’ll learn how travel shapes identity in an unequal world as guests open up about their personal journeys navigating culture, race, power, and belonging beyond borders. If you’ve ever felt that travel changes you in ways no one talks about, you’re in the right place.
The Maverick Show hit the Top 100 on Apple Podcasts (including #1 in Places & Travel), was ranked in the Top 1% of podcasts globally by Listen Notes, and was named the #1 Digital Nomad Podcast and #1 Remote Work Podcast by Million Podcasts — with hundreds of five-star listener reviews.
