MONDAY MINUTE

KICKING OFF YOUR WEEK WITH 3 SHORT ITEMS OF
VALUE THAT YOU CAN CONSUME IN 60 SECONDS

1) DESTINATIONS

SALAR de UYUNI, BOLIVIA is one of the most extraordinary and other-worldly places I’ve ever been. You can race through the world’s largest salt flats in 4x4s and pause to explore the cactus islands, watch sunsets, and take photos using depth perception photography tricks! Spend at least 3 nights to see the red lagoons with flamingos, volcanic rock formations, rainbow colored mountains, and feel like you are on a different planet every day. It truly has the most unique landscapes I’ve seen anywhere in the world.

2) MOBILE APPS I USE

OVERLAP is a mobile app designed for digital nomads, by digital nomads. It enables me to keep track of my travel community, get alerts when my travel plans intersect with friends, get recs from people I trust, and make travel plans with friends. I also use it to check off each country I’ve been and my travel profile fills in with colors and pins. It’s available on both Apple and Android. Check out my interview with the co-founder, Sharon Rosenberg, about the origin and future of Overlap on Episode 217 of The Maverick Show.

3) WHAT TO WATCH

NEVER SAY NEVER WITH JEFF JENKINS. I interviewed Jeff Jenkins on Episode 112 of The Maverick Show, and his kindness and positivity just radiates. In his new Nat Geo series “Never Say Never”, Jeff travels the world testing the limits of his physical abilities, inspiring others to do the same, and re-defining adventure travel for all body types. You can stream now it on Disney+ and Hulu.

Did you Listen to Last Week’s Episode of
The Maverick Show?

Last week, I interviewed Jupiter Kayonga who told his story of surviving the Rwandan genocide, fleeing the country at 9 years old, and growing up as a refugee. Today, he travels the world as a photographer and storyteller and has been to over 80 countries and all 7 continents. He tells some incredible stories in this episode about his time in India, Cuba, Antarctica, and his experience returning to Rwanda 20 years after leaving. You can stream the episode on all podcast platforms or directly on The Maverick Show website.
