1) EVENTS TO ATTEND

KAZAKHSTAN TRIP WITH NOMAD & JULES. I interviewed Yulia Denisyuk on Episode 282 and she is now leading a small group trip to Kazakhstan, her country of birth. This will be an unforgettable 11 nights that will allow you to disconnect from the hectic everyday pace and be 1-on-1 with some of the most majestic landscapes on the planet. You can get a $150 discount by using the code MAVERICK when you register for this trip (or any future trips with Nomad & Jules, if you prefer a different date or destination). See the full itinerary and reserve your spot here.

2) TRAVEL GEAR I RECOMMEND

ANATOMIE started as an all-women’s luxury travel brand, focused on the stylish-minimalist traveler who packs carry-on only. They now offer a men’s line as well. I interviewed Anatomie CEO Kate Boyer on Episode 75 about the founding and evolution of Anatomie as a global fashion brand. You can check out Anatomie men’s and women’s travel apparel, along with the rest of the travel gear I use and recommend here.

3) DESTINATIONS

NAOSHIMA, JAPAN is also referred to as “The Art Island” and is one of the most interesting places I’ve ever been. Not only does it have extraordinary art museums, it has large outdoor art installations all across the island. Located in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, the natural beauty of the island combined with the contemporary architecture and sculptures makes for an absolutely unique and remarkable experience. I highly recommend at least a couple nights to soak it all in.

Did you Listen to Last Week’s Episode of The Maverick Show?

Last week I interviewed Yulia Denisyuk who talked about growing up in the former Soviet Union, immigrating to the U.S., getting her MBA and going into the corporate world. She then takes us through her life-changing trip to Morocco that inspired her to leave her office job to become a travel journalist. She talks about her travels across Africa and the Middle East, and why Jordan has such a uniquely special place in her heart. Listen to the episode on your favorite platform here.
