KNEECAP is an Irish-language hip hop group from West Belfast that Tom Morello has called “The Rage Against the Machine of Now”.  Blending humor and satire with socially conscious lyrics and anti-colonial politics, Kneecap has centered support for Palestinian liberation and opposition to the genocide at their live shows around the world.  In response to prosecution by the British government for their political speech, Kneecap announced a show at the iconic Wembley arena in London which I just attended last week, and it was epic! TOGETHER FOR PALESTINE was a sold out concert at Wembley Arena that I just attended the night before Kneecap, and it was the largest fundraiser for Palestine in UK history.  It was mesmerizing from start to finish, an astonishing night of resistance to Palestinian annihilation and cultural erasure. With an exquisite mix of Palestinian art, poetry, music, and dance, it was interwoven with personal testimonies from Palestinians as well as solidarity from celebrities and activists. It was uplifting, soul-infusing, and crucially rejuvenating and inspiring. The arena was overflowing with love, hope, solidarity and insistence on collective liberation and a Free Palestine. ANERA FUNDRAISING DINNER is the main annual fundraiser for American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), which is one of the main non-profits distributing humanitarian aid in Palestine.
