OBERTAUERN in the Austrian Alps is an insanely gorgeous ski destination and for me it’s all about the panoramic views!  With an altitude at over 1,700 meters, it includes one of the longest ski seasons in the Alps, with powder-filled slopes open from November to May. But what truly sets it apart is the famous “Tauernrunde” circuit—an interconnected loop of lifts and runs that lets you traverse the entire resort in either direction without repeating a trail. Throw in the legendary après-ski culture, and I’m still thinking about this experience years later!
